Shortly after moving into our new home we noticed that one of our trees was infested with mildew.
After we had received permission from the landlord to do the garden design freely, the first step was to remove the lower branches of the tree so that it no longer looked like a shrub.
The next step now in autumn was the thinning of the tree crown and removal of the sick and dead branches.
We hope that this step will help the tree to go into summer next year with more strength and healthy leaves. If mildew is still present, we will try to fight it by means of a mixture of milk and water (1:9).
Lets see how it is working out.
